Meet our staff!

Tasoula Antoniou Katsiami: Managing Director

Tasoula Katsiami (Dip TEFL, BA TEFL, MA Education, PhD Candidate) teaches English for exams to high school students as well as English for Adults at U-learn.  She has had a very long experience in the education field starting from the UK, as part of her teaching training.  She worked at Pakeman and Coleridge Primary school as a teaching assistant and at Westminster College as an EFL teacher for levels A1-B1. After graduating in 1991, she was employed at College Melkart, Limassol Cyprus in the primary sector.  From 1993 to 2009 she continued her career as a primary 3rd grade teacher at St Mary’s school, Limassol, Cyprus, a private language school in Cyprus.  At the same time she has had various publications in education magazines (Junior Focus, Teaching Primary) on the independence of language learning, on motivating techniques for young learners and on what is motivation for teenage learners.  She is a member of the Cyprus Teachers of English Association (CyTea) and International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language. (IATEFL).  She is also a Speaking Examiner for the Cambridge IELTS. In 2009 she founded her own private institute, U-Learn Education Centre. She has been an active teacher-educator and has always managed to be updated with the profession as she has always attended various seminars, webinars, workshops, lectures, education fairs, both locally and abroad. Learning for life is her motto and during her teaching, she takes every opportunity to allow students ownership and autonomy of learning.

Erifili Iona

For the last 15 years I have been working as an English teacher. I am experienced in teaching all levels ( pre – junior – university level) in Greece and Cyprus while working as a translator. I have a BA Hons in English Language and Literature and a MA in Translation studies both obtained in the UK. My dedication to education and teaching makes me constantly looking for innovative teaching techniques/ methods adapting them though according to the students’ needs.

Aimili Kallinikou

Aimili Kallinikou is teaching Greek at U-Learn Education centre. She graduated from Aristoteleio University of Thessaloniki in 2012, where she obtained her Bachelors degree in Philosophy and Pedagogics. During her four years of studying there, she taught students in Gymnasiums and Lyceums as part of her practical training. At the same time she was a volunteer in an orphanage in Greece and she took lessons of Italian language. Upon her arrival in Cyprus she attended national language lessons, where she successfully completed all 3 levels.  Aimili has been employed by U-Learn since October 2014. She has the ambition of expanding her knowledge by attending seminars and workshops on teaching methods for adults and children. Her view about a more effective but also a more pleasant learning is the implementation of learning-by-acting and -doing as one focuses out of an in-active classroom.  Moreover her main target is the combination of the past with the present for the achievement of the original knowledge. She believes that everyone and everything around us is a teacher and her motto is that the best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book.

Vasiliki Panayiotou

Vassiliki Panayiotou studied Primary Education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 2008-2012 and in 2014 has graduated from the University of Cyprus with a Masters Degree in Gender Studies. Parallel to that in 2012-2012 she has also studied Special Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In addition while in Thessaloniki, she passed the exams for the Braille code (for blind people) and was a badminton volunteer for deaf children who have participated in the Paralympics in Athens in 2011. After completing her studies,she worked for a year at the Ministry of Education in various programmes and since September 2015 she has been working at U-learn Education centre. As she admits, she loves being surrounded by children because it gives one strength and a big smile.

Stephanie Konstantopoulou

Stephanie Konstantopoulou is an English teacher at U-learn Education Centre. She graduated from the University of Brighton in 2010 where she obtained her Bachelor degree in English Studies and Linguistics. She then went on with her studies and received a Master’s Degree on Cultural Studies from the University of Sussex in 2011. During her four years of studying abroad she was also offering private English lessons for International students who wanted to improve their English. As a Spanish speaker as well, Stephanie was first employed in Santander, Spain, where she was teaching young Spanish learners. Upon her arrival in Cyprus she was immediately employed by a private institute of foreign languages. Stephanie has been employed by U-learn since September 2014. She dοes not miss the opportunity to gain more knowledge and grow as a teacher by attending several seminars and workshops regarding new teaching methods for children and teenagers.
